"Fine Dining For Hardworking People"
At Roxy’s Cafe, located in San Francisco’s Mission District, Chef Manny Torres Gimenez offers two tasting menus—a four-course and a ten-course—that showcase his Venezuelan background and wide range of cooking influences, including time spent at New York City’s Nobu, Frasca in Colorado, and SPQR, Quince, and Coi in San Francisco. Changing daily, Manny’s tasting menus are intended to be, in his words, “fine dining for hardworking people”, in that he aims to make exceptional, thoughtful food available to everyone. Changing daily, his menus feature handmade pastas, soups, local vegetables and his famous arepas. Manny is committed to using only market-fresh seafood and produce from Bay Area farmers and foragers to create a remarkable dining experience.
